Living righteously before Yahuah

Yahuah (God) lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. – Proverbs 2:7

Living righteously before Yahuah involves following principles based on scripture and aligning your life with His will. Here are key aspects of living righteously:

1. Know and Follow the Commandments:

  • Study and apply the commandments given in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible), including the Ten Commandments, which outline key aspects of how to live in right relationship with Yahuah and others.
  • Loving Yahuah with all your heart, soul, and mind (Deuteronomy 6:5) and loving your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18) are central principles.

2. Repentance and Humility:

  • Acknowledge when you fall short and repent of your sins (1 John 1:9). Being humble and recognizing your need for Yahuah’s mercy is key.
  • Keep a heart of humility before Yahuah (Micah 6:8), always seeking to live according to His guidance.

3. Seek Justice, Mercy, and Faithfulness:

  • Micah 6:8 emphasizes that Yahuah desires His followers to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.
  • Be compassionate and fair in your dealings with others, and seek justice in all circumstances.

4. Live by Faith:

  • Trust in Yahuah’s promises and live with faith in His provision, guidance, and sovereignty. Hebrews 11:6 teaches that without faith, it is impossible to please God.
  • Rely on His strength and grace for your daily life.

5. Pursue Holiness:

  • Strive to be holy as Yahuah is holy (Leviticus 11:44-45; 1 Peter 1:16). This involves living a life of purity, avoiding sin, and cultivating godly virtues such as love, patience, kindness, and peace.

6. Prayer and Worship:

  • Spend time in prayer and worship, communicating with Yahuah regularly. This is not only a way to seek His guidance but also a way to express your love and devotion to Him.
  • Regularly read and meditate on the scriptures, and seek to apply them in your daily life.

7. Obey the Spirit’s Leading:

  • Yield to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your life. As you grow spiritually, you’ll develop greater sensitivity to His leading, which helps direct you in righteous living (Romans 8:14).

8. Live in Community:

  • Fellowship with others who share your faith. The Bible speaks of the importance of community and encouragement among believers (Hebrews 10:25). Support one another in your walk with Yahuah.

Living righteously before Yahuah is a continual process of growth and transformation. It’s about cultivating a relationship with Yahuah through obedience, faith, and love. The key is to rely on His grace while striving to walk in His truth.

Shalom
