The Gentiles: What It Means To Be Grafted In

The Gentiles: What It Means To Be Grafted In. Gentiles don’t form a separate people or covenant — they are brought into the existing covenant that YHWH made with Israel. Yahushua doesn’t make a “third group”; He brings people into Israel through Himself.

“Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of Elohim.”
1 Kepha (1 Peter) 2:10, quoting Hosea

✦ The Key: Joining to Israel — Not Replacing Her

In Scripture, the idea of grafting is central:

“If some of the branches [Israelites] were broken off, and you [Gentiles], a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them… do not boast… but remember, you do not support the root, the root supports you.”
Romans 11:17–18

This grafting doesn’t make a Gentile ethnically Israelite, but it makes them part of the commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:12–13). They are brought into the people of YHWH through the Messiah — not by race or bloodline, but by emunah (faith) and obedience.

✦ Ephesians 2 — Gentiles Were “Far Off,” Now Brought Near

“You were without Messiah, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise… But now, in Messiah Yahushua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah.”
Ephesians 2:12–13

🔑 Note: Gentiles were strangers to the covenants — meaning they were never part of them, but now they can enter by being brought near.

✦ The Gentiles In Yahushua

In Yahushua, they are:

  • Returning to their Creator, YHWH.
  • Joining the people He covenanted with — Israel.
  • Coming into the Torah, which was never given to Gentiles, but is now written on their hearts (Jeremiah 31:33).
  • Entering His Kingdom, under His covenant, through His Messiah.

✦ Summary:

  • The Renewed Covenant is only with Israel and Judah — this never changed.
  • Gentiles do not get their own covenant; they are grafted into Israel by faith in Yahushua.
  • This is not a “return to Torah” for them individually, but a return to YHWH, by entering the house He already built — through Messiah, not by bloodline.

Shalom!
